By: Rod McLennan01/29/2008 - 2008 Frozen Otter a Bitter Sweet Success
This year's Frozen Otter Ultra Trek was a bitter sweet success in spite of bitter -20 degree weather and relentless winds. Most of the 50 registered competitors showed up to give it a try. Andrew Wells from Davenport, IA (and a member of Team Fat Otter) won the race after completing 50 miles of the 64 mile course. Unfortunately, he suffered severe frostbite on multiple toes. We look forward to expanding the race to allow for more competitors next year. Thanks to all who participated.
