Additional Resources for Racers

Some of the participants have requested some of the following information, so I thought I would pass it along.  Below you find a link to the course map (it's actually straight from the DNR) and some additional questions that I have fielded in the past few weeks.

Course Map - The Ice Age Trail is marked by the yellow dotted line.  The race will begin at the Butler Lake trail area and head north on the trail to the Hwy P trail head / turnaround.  Racers will then proceed South to the Hwy H trail head (passing the Butler Lake area where they may access their vehicles) they will then turn around and head back to the finish.  On even numbered years, the course is reversed.

Some Additional Questions:

1. Can we use snow shoes?  No
2. Can we have support?  No
3. What qualifies as a shelter?  Anything will keep wind and rain off of you
4. Where should I stay before the race?  Click on the Venue tab on the event page
5. Can I register at the event?  No, you must register in advance
6. Why does the winner get?  Mad respect and hopefully a spot amongst the Frozen Few
